Thunderbolt what is internet connection mode
I do not understand how its ok to charge me a different price for the same product data depending on how I use it. Its baffling.
Lets say gas is 4 dollars a gallon. I put 5 gallons in my station wagon, then when I go to put the remaining 5 gallons in my sports car he tells me the price per gallon goes up? It makes no sense at all. If I go over my 10 gallons of course I should pay an overage but to charge me "extra" for what I already paid for, depending on how I consume it, just seems ridiculous. Yeah you are right and if they know we are using 3rd party software to get around it just give to us we pay them already Sent from my Thunderbolt.

Open Terminal on both Macs and enter ifconfig respectively. Improve this answer. Internet Sharing via Thunderbolt bridge now appears to work see screenshot in updated post. I didn't do anything to make it happen, other than restart the computers once or twice. So maybe there was something that was making the Thunderbolt connection unreliable, in this regard. It sometimes happens that TDM can't be invoked either, without restarting one or both of the computers.

Here is more info about it: thunderbolttechnology. That like is talking about thunderbolt 3 alternative mode over USB 3. So you'll need both sides to support thunderbolt 3 alternative mode on the type C connector, not just any type C.
Type C is just the connector, the signal can vary wildly from USB 2. Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes. Improve this answer. Ok I might be confused. I saw the section on this site mention it could be used as an ethernet and I got excited: thunderbolttechnology. Nearly all those features listed won't work on a regular, non tbolt usb C connector without explicit support through USB C alternate modes. The PC is off now and it charges the iPad.
I think of this as a USB-C interface: In Ethernet copper and optical networking we use the same connectors for many different speeds. Distance BaseT Ethernet cabling is highly scalable with robust support for up to meters using low-cost, passive, and easy-to-install copper cable. Thunderbolt Vs. Campus Ethernet Can we compare Thunderbolt and campus Ethernet? Thunderbolt 3 delivers power to end points up to 85W.
PoE standards vary from W with the very latest standards not widely adopted. Most PoE installations are Type 2 today for 30W. Lots of technology gets powered by USB-C but there are no few? Smartphone and laptops of course. I think PoE scales better operationally because the Ethernet switch is central point of control and feature rich. The EtherealMind View As I wrote this post it became clear that Thunderbolt is a networking technology, but not well-suited to long distance.
